If you made it to this post, you probably want to know about me and what I do. Here’s a brief introduction about myself. 😊

Who I am

Hi 👋🏾, I’m Ugochukwu (or Frank) and I live in Uyo, a city in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria. My family moved there when I was 10. I majored in Agricultural Economics but found myself more around computers and technology. When I’m not exploring the ins and outs of WordPress, you’ll likely find me enjoying a good movie, tinkering with new hobbies, or trying to find the perfect restaurant to try.

My Journey

My path to working in tech didn’t start with code. It began with a simple curiosity about how things work and a wish to help people solve problems. I started out in 2018 as an open-source contributor for a platform called Utopian.io. I still remember contributing as a copywriter and a social media marketer. One of my proud contributions was writing the copy for the About Us page of Minecolonies. Its still used till today. ☺️

Over time, that curiosity grew and led me to train as a Web Developer at Start Innovation Hub. I also worked as a Backend Developer Intern at HNG Internship. In the world of WordPress, I discovered I can combine my love for creativity with my knack for troubleshooting.

What I Love About My Work

For me, the most rewarding part is seeing the difference it makes. Whether it’s helping someone launch a business website or resolving a tricky issue that’s been holding them back, I love that I get to play a part in turning ideas into reality.

What’s Important to Me

I believe in putting people first. In every project, I strive to make sure that the experience is as smooth and enjoyable as possible for my clients. It’s not just about fixing problems. It’s about creating lasting solutions and also empowering others to feel confident with their online presence.

The best part I love about support is the ability to take a person’s perspective, stay out of judgment, recognize their emotion, and then communicate that. Empathy is a vulnerable choice because in order to connect with them, I have to connect with a part of me that knows that feeling.

Lastly, I thrive in environments where collaboration is key. Being part of a team that supports each other, shares ideas, and works together toward common goals is something I truly value. I’m drawn to innovative companies that encourage creativity and aren’t afraid to embrace new technologies and approaches.

A Glimpse into the Future

As I look to the future, I’m excited to keep growing in the world of support and development. There’s always something new to learn, and I can’t wait to see where that takes me!
